I am in Peru and had a classic drink here called Pisco Sour, three times!!! I just learned that they each have an egg white in them… does this make me not vegan? Or a bad vegan? I am so mad at myself for not asking about the ingredients. – Totally Vegan Buzz

I don’t think you’re a bad vegan. You could try to be a tad more careful, but as long as your not continuing to eat eggs knowingly, just go back to your usually eating habits and try to move past this even though it might be upsetting. I also have accidentally eaten animal products before, so I know how mad you are probably feeling. Don’t be too hard on yourself

Absolutely not we all make mistakes!! I wouldn’t have it again if it was me but do not worry at all vegan doesn’t = no meat/dairy ever again you can definitely have slips ups and that doesn’t make you any less vegan

i ate milk solids in bread the other day, felt horrible. but it was an accident i now know for next time. if i cant confirm its vegan, skip it and find an alternative that you can confirm. I bet most of Vegans on earth have either knowingly (after the fact) or unknowingly consumed an animal product by mistake…. i fed my gf pasta sauce with beef flavor. i scared her so much and had a hard time telling her she thought i was trying to breakup
