Its helpful to get a vitamin tracker to make sure youre getting all your vitamins and if not its easy to add in foods that have what youre lacking in, but honestly on a healthy vegan diet no vitamisn are necessary unless B-12 but thats a vitamin everyone should be taking since we cant find it in any food.
If you dont eat fish then id suggest flaxseeds and chia seeds, simply chuck them in/on stuff, to help with the omegas.
Hi, I’m a registered dietitian and have been plant based and vegan for almost 25 years. B12 is 100% necessary for a diet void of animal products. It’s a really important vitamin, so don’t skip it. Other things are omega-3 fatty acids, which you can get from algae sources. If you eat a variety of whole foods – fruits/veggies/ whole grains/legumes/ nuts/seeds, you should be ok. Use the nutrition app Cronometer to track your food intake to see what micronutrients you are low on. Also, meeting with a vegan dietitian or looking for vegan dietitians online to access their material can help you further. Jack Norris, RD has a great website and resources to get started! GOOD LUCK!! -KK
