Hi, thank you for your question. People take fish oil supplements (generally on a daily basis) to ensure they are getting all the omegas they need. Humans cannot create our own Omega 3 or 6, which is why this is a popular supplement option.
However, fish oil is NOT vegan – hence the name. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of ways for vegans to get their omegas, whether it be through supplements, diet, or both. Various options will come up if you search “vegan omega supplements” or “ways to get my omegas as a vegan”. If you don’t want to commit to a supplement, walnuts, flax seeds, and chia seeds (among others) are all rich with omegas! I hope this helps
