When i see my cat playing with a mouse in the garden i always wonder if i should step in or not. What is the right thing to do here because i think it would kill the mous and definitely hurt it.

If i see my cat playing or stalking ither animals, such as mice or birds, I usually just pick her up or sho her away from them. However, more often than not, she’s caught something while I’m at work and had killed it. In cases like this i just give her a pat on the head and bury the animal. It’s a cats natural instinct to hunt for their family, and it’s intended to show they care for you. Step in when you can, but if its to late just remember to be respectful of your cat and the prey animals body.
