We need to accept that creatures who absolutely need meat exist. Your cat is amongst them. You can get cat food which is mainly from parts of the animals that are otherwise just "waste" – from animals who are slaughtered anyway. I feel like you should give your cat the best life it can have, and that actually includes eating other animals. You as a human can decide for yourself, the cat can’t. If cats could choose in the wild, it would hunt.
Dry food is the best for that, it’s a hard one but at the end of the day cats are designed to eat meat and can’t live without it, try and buy from the most cruelty free brands you can find
Humans aren’t even meant to eat meat we don’t have the teeth for it and we are far more advanced it’s a different story
Newest research shows that both cats and dogs can adopt vegan diets successfully. From my readings, taurine is the element that cats need from meat; this can be supplemented.
Please do your balanced research and seek the best outcome – that is, a happy, healthy vegan cat!
If your buying it,try to research vegan cat or dog diets. I’ve seen some good ones advertising on Instagram
Please reject the advice from the commenters suggesting to feed your cat a vegan diet. Cats are obligate carnivores and must have meat in their diet to survive-there have been instances where a cat or kitten was fed aa vegan diet and became so ill they almost died. Here is a short article about why cats can’t survive on a vegan diet: https://www.aspca.org/news/why-cant-my-cat-be-vegan
The best food option I am aware of is Open Farm pet food-all their dog and cat food is humanely sourced and they have very strict standards regarding animal welfare. https://openfarmpet.com/cat-food/
