Asda’s 2023 vegan range features more vegan products than ever before
Asda has announced that it will launch more than 112 vegan products spread across 2 new ranges this year.
The UK supermarket will offer OMV! and Plant Based ranges, which will include a variety of items.
The new OMV! range will cover ‘decadent tasty treats’ such as Hot & Spicy No Chicken Burgers, No Pork Caramelised Red Onion Sausages, No Prawn Sandwich and chocolate goodies.
Meanwhile, The Plant Based range will provide healthy, nutritionist-approved meat alternatives including bacon-style rashers and a Chick*n Caesar Wrap. The latter is made with flame-grilled soy protein pieces, vegan Caesar-style mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, gherkins, and vegan Italian-style hard cheese
86 products will be available both in-store and online from this month itself, with the full range becoming available throughout the year.
So whether you’re a seasoned vegan or simply looking to cut back on meat, Asda has you covered.
Asda’s vegan ambassador
If that wasn’t enough, meat-loving Married at First Sight star Zoe Clifton has been announced as the unlikely ambassador for the brand’s new OMV! And Plant Based by Asda ranges.
Clifton is taking up the 31-day challenge to go vegan. She will eat products from the ranges and share her verdict on vegan cuisine, supported by her plant-based partner Jenna.
Moreover, throughout January, customers who spend £5 on vegan own-brand products (OMV! and Plant Based by Asda) can also earn £1 back in their cash pot in the Asda Rewards app.
