The Ultimate Plant Based Ice Cream Tasting Box features six flavours including Jude’s newest plant-based flavours Mint Chocolate and Strawberry. 

British ice cream brand Jude’s has launched a vegan ice cream tasting box packed with six flavours.

The Ultimate Plant Based Ice Cream Tasting Box is available on its website shop from today (3 July).

It features 18 mini tubs with flavours that include Jude’s newest plant-based flavours Mint Chocolate and Strawberry, alongside its classics Vanilla, Chocolate, Salted Caramel and Mango Sorbet. 

The box is priced at £68.50 and also includes a copy of Jude’s Ice Cream & Desserts recipe book, a handy tote bag, and a limited print run of its Plant Based Recipe Collection.

The new tasting box follows the release of its 2023 Impact Report, which stated that its plant-based ice cream has, on average, a 47% lower carbon footprint than dairy and uses up to 80% less land.

“We’re all really proud of what we’ve achieved. It’s been a real team effort, with sustainability a key factor in every decision we take,” wrote the brand on Instagram.

“We’re excited about the future as we continue to work with Professor Mike Berners-Lee and his team to reduce our carbon emissions each and every year. We know we’re not perfect, and there will be mistakes along the way, but we’ll continue to research, develop and innovate to continue making progress every year.”

Vegan ice-cream market growth

The vegan ice cream market has been booming in recent years. It was at $520.9 million in 2019 and is expected to cross $805.3 million by 2027.

This increase is likely due to the growing awareness of animal welfare, environmental concerns, and health risks associated with dairy products. Animal cruelty, high greenhouse gas emissions, and an increased risk of cancer have all been linked to dairy consumption, driving more people away from it and towards vegan alternatives.

Jude’s isn’t the only brand offering vegan alternatives to ice cream. A number of mainstream brands, including Magnum, and Ben & Jerry’s among others have been introducing dairy-free options in recent years.
