Adidas Originals- Samba and the Continental 80 have been revamped using vegan materials as part of the “Our Icons go Vegan” line.

Today, Adidas released animal-free versions of its classic sneakers- Samba and Continental 80 in the U.S. under its ‘Our Icons Go Vegan’ range.

Both the sneakers are constructed from a PU-coated recycled polyester upper. The Continental 80 also features an algae-based EVA foam in its midsole.  The material supposedly helps to clean at least 30 liters of polluted lake water while being produced.
