
Aero has unveiled a vegan version of its most popular dark chocolate bar.
Nestle’s British brand Aero’s “bubbly” bar includes 70 percent dark chocolate for a “rich and delicious melt-in-your-mouth” experience.
The 95g bars available to buy on Amazon and at Walmart are free of egg and fish, and do not contain mustard, sesame, shellfish, sulfite, and wheat. Being vegan-friendly the bars are also suitable for lactose intolerant customers.
With demands for meat and dairy alternatives rising steadily, the food industry is also witnessing a major shift in the confectionary and dessert sectors.
Vegan confectionery
Recently, Nestlé also launched its KitKat Chocolatory Cacao Fruit Chocolate made entirely from the cacao fruit in KitKat Chocolatory boutiques in Tokyo, Osaka, Kawasaki and Hiroshima.
The brand’s future plans include introducing its cacao sweetened products to other countries by next year through some of Nestlé’s most popular confectionery brands.
Last month Mars UK announced vegan versions of its most popular Galaxy bar with three flavor options: smooth orange, caramel and sea salt and caramelized hazelnut.
Elsewhere, Mrs Crimble’s launched a vegan plus gluten-free version of its popular chocolate macaroon priced at £1.79 per 195g pack.
Selfridges– the iconic luxury department unveiled its revamped confectionery hall with over 1500 different varieties of chocolates and sweets from 40 brands all under one roof- the first and largest of its kind in the UK.
