‘I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet to expand your life length and make you an all-round happier person’
US sensation Ariana Grande says eating vegan has had a noticeable impact on her long-time health issues and has made her an ‘all-round happier person’.
The pop- star sensation made the switch to a plant-based diet after watching Forks Over Knives in 2013 and is very proud of maintaining her healthy, animal-free lifestyle since then.
‘Love animals more’
Although personal health was Grande’s primary motivation to go vegan, in an interview she admitted that her love for animals was equally compelling for her to adopt veganism.
“I love animals more than I love most people, not kidding,” she told The Mirror.
“But I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-round happier person.”
Favourite foods
According to her trainer Harley Pasternak, the 24-year-old eats well and has always maintained a healthy diet.
He revealed that Grande loves eating Japanese food. “She loves daikon, lotus, adzuki beans—almost like a macrobiotic Japanese [diet],” he said.
The American music icon is equally fond of berries.
In one tweet, she declared, “I’ve had at least five strawberries a day since I can remember. They’re my favorite food!”

‘Never about being skinnier’
Grande maintains that her decision to go vegan was “never about being skinnier,” after the singer lost weight following a whole-food plant-based diet.
She explained in a Tumblr post: “This is about making sure the foods you put in your body will nourish you and be put to good use.
“The reason why I lost so much weight as I did is because I used to live on junk food. So, I drastically changed my eating habits, started exercising daily, and I’m all around a healthier me.”
She revealed eating a vegan diet also helped keep her blood sugar levels in check.
“The way I’m eating now has actually helped even out my blood sugar,” reported Women’s Health.
“As some of you guys may know, I’ve struggled with awful hypoglycemia for my whole life and it’s improved a ton since I changed my eating habits.”
The young entertainer is committed to living a healthy life as she complements her clean eating lifestyle with daily exercise.
Listing Grande’s top 3 workout moves, trainer Pasternak told Celebs Now that he likes to allot ‘one exercise a day each day,’ to make sure the young entertainer keeps moving.
