After Nike sneakers and a new fragrance, Billie Eilish has now become the face of a new vegan chocolate bar.
Billie’s Happier Than Ever Chocolate Bar – named after one of Eilish’s albums – has been developed in partnership with a German confectionery brand.
It is 100% organic certified, vegan, and kosher. Each bar is wrapped in sustainable materials and a cardboard box.
The dairy-free chocolate costs $10 and is currently on pre-order and will start shipping out next month.
Support + Feed – a non-profit organization led by Eilish’s mother Maggie Baird announced the vegan chocolate on Instagram.
‘Amazing’
The announcement was greeted with much enthusiasm with fans flooding the post with comments.
“Wowwww!! Can’t wait to try this!!” commented one user.
“This is amazing. I’m so looking forward to it,” added another.
“I love all this Billie stuff cos know it’s vegan and she’s awesome,” a third wrote.
Billie Eilish’s vegan efforts
Eilish has been vegan since age 12. In a blog post, at the time she wrote that there were “a lot of reasons” for the change but animal welfare was a leading motivator. “Leave animals alone,” she said.
She has since then often used her fame to speak out about the importance of eating plant-based.
Recently she even executively co-produced a new vegan documentary to expose the racial inequality that is prevalent within the food system.
Called They’re Trying to Kill Us, the film highlights the link between diet, disease, poverty, food deserts, and government corruption.
Moreover, it blows the lid off the racist health care system in America today and spotlights that ‘poisonous diets’ are ‘the single biggest threat to Americans of color’.
The film debuted on 11 November and can be viewed exclusively on the film’s official website.
