UK’s vegan cooking duo Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, from BOSH!  have launched their first ever vegan cakes in Tesco stores across the country.

The vegan team has partnered with Finsbury Food group to develop the new cake range, which comprises four flavours – the Ultimate Chocolate Cake, Luscious Lemon Cake, the Chocolate Happy Birthday Cake and Vanilla Happy Birthday Cake.

The cakes have been accredited by the vegan society and while the Ultimate Chocolate Cake and the Luscious Lemon Cake, both priced at £3.50 are already available in Tesco stores, Asda will start selling them from 13th July.

“We’ve been working on these 100% vegan cakes for a while, tweaking the recipes, making sure they’re as delicious as possible. We’re really pleased with them and we reckon you will be too,” the pair wrote on Instagram.

Fans were only too happy at the announcement and showered the duo with praises on Instagram.

“Yes boys this is an incredible achievement I can’t wait until I can get to a Tesco and give these a try especially the lemon cake,” wrote one user.

“Wow that’s brilliant well done! I am loving following your amazing business journey, it’s just so inspiring! Keep up the good work, you’re doing amazing!!,” added another.

Later the BOSH boys also baked their Ultimate Chocolate Cake on BOSH! TV so that fans could make the fudgy, delicious, sweet and chocolaty vegan treat at home.

The Chocolate Happy Birthday Cake and Vanilla Happy Birthday Cake are priced at £8.00 each.

BOSH! is considered one of the most popular plant-based recipe channels globally. The duo has co-authored 4 cookbooks, sold hundreds of thousands copies and appeared on numerous TV shows including a 10-episode cookery series of Living on the Veg on ITV.

Last month, they also launched a live cookalong broadcast to invite people to cook plant-based meals with them during lockdown.

The idea was to help people whip up “some amazing, easy, insanely tasty dishes, that are all made from plants.”
