The Perfect Strangers star Bronson Pinchot has lost a whopping 60 pounds after switching to an all plant-based diet.

The 61-year-old is enjoying his incredible transformation saying he is able to fit into clothing he wore in his 20s.

The actor, who took to Instagram to share before and after pictures of his old and new looks told Page Six that he decided to do something about his growing ‘fat’ frame after seeing a photo of himself from the 2017 reboot of “Battle of the Network Stars”.

Personal transformation

Pinchot’s weight loss journey started last May a few months after going into lockdown.

The first thing he did was do a deep-cleanse of his pantry and fridge discarding all the junk food he had stored in there and stocking up on vegan food.

“And then I just put healthy food in the house and I said, ‘OK, puppy, you can have whatever’s there,’” he told the publication.

He added that although he found the transition difficult at the beginning, he didn’t quit the program he started.

As a result, the actor, who has struggled with his weight since he was 5 years old lost 60 pounds within six months of switching to ‘a healthy plant-based eating program.’

Pinchot revealed in his interview he is not exercising since he wants to gauge if he can maintain the weight loss without cardio.

Page Six also reported him saying he recently trialled clothes that sat untouched for 25 years in his storage box from his days of playing Balki Bartokomous on “Perfect Strangers” (1986 to 1993).

“And I just took off my clothes and put them on and they fit,” he declared.

“And I thought, ‘I’m pretty sure I’m the only 61-year-old within a 10-mile radius that’s getting into his clothes from when he was a 26-year-old doing two aerobics classes a day.’ And that feels pretty good. That feels pretty good.”

Plant-based celebrities on social media

Bronson Pinchot is among a swathe of celebrities promoting plant-based diets on social media.

Among them are reality stars Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Katy Perry.

On the other hand, stars the likes of musician Lizzo, actor Tabitha Brown, and the now banned animal rights campaigner That Vegan Teacher have used TikTok to share the benefits of plant-based lifestyles.
