Catherine Zeta-Jones has launched her first footwear collection made from vegan leather.

The Oscar winner and fashion maven collaborated with British vegan footwear brand, Butterfly Twists to unveil – Casa Zeta-Jones x Butterfly Twists.

The limited edition launched this month features four ballerina styles and will be sold in 21 countries, before hitting all sixty-six markets where Butterfly Twists are sold.

Sharing the news to her Instagram, the actress wrote: “I am so excited to introduce to you all my newest project for @CasaZetaJones – a collection of bold, handmade shoes with @Butterflytwists.

“For the past year I have been working on all new products for Casa Zeta-Jones. In this tough time, I wanted to bring some joy and comfort from my Casa to yours.

“It was so important to me to work on something I knew was for every woman. Not only is this shoe collection entirely vegan, but it is fresh, fun and different.”

‘Sustainable without sacrificing style’

The collection is made using fine vegan leather and looks incredibly comfortable and vibrant with numerous colourways including black and white, multi-coloured stripes, beige and blue.

Explaining the reason for collaborating with Butterfly Twists and opting for vegan shoes, the multiple award winning actress turned entrepreneur said: “Butterfly Twists is a vegan brand too. 

“Vegan materials are so advanced and luxurious now it is difficult to tell the difference between real leather and vegan leather.

“I know that it’s an important consideration for many women and I’m happy I can create something that is sustainable without sacrificing style.”

The vegan range is priced between £55 – £60 and is now available online at butterflytwists.com.
