Jaden Smith has sent a message to meat eaters urging them to ditch meat for one day a week.
The singer posted on Twitter: “Dear Meat Eaters Let’s Start Doing #MeatlessFridays Where We Don’t Eat Meals That Include Meat For The Entire Day.”
The tweet to his 8 million followers was liked more than 40,000 times and retweeted more than 8,000 times.
Jaden is an investor in plant-based company Impossible Foods, which features its patties in Burger King’s new Impossible Whopper.
Earlier this year he also opened up a free vegan food truck for the homeless population of Los Angeles, US.
The ‘I Love You’ truck for an initial weekend in Skid Row – which has one of the largest homeless populations in the US.
The 21-year-old rapper wrote on Instagram: “@ILoveYouRestaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free. Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many #JADENinc.”
The truck only offered food for one day on its initial launch, but is expected to be seen more and more often with many trucks hitting LA’s streets.
Smith shared a video which showed people queuing up and collecting food.
