Dunkin’ CEO has hinted the company will be expanding its vegan options in response to increasing consumer demands.
In a recent shareholder’s meeting, Dunkin CEO David Hoffman admitted the brand was “investigat(ing) a viable vegan donut option and “looking at it closely” when asked about the possibility of adding more vegan options to the brand’s menu.
“You’re going to continue to see us put more consumer choice on the menu,” Hoffman said.
The question was posed by Rachel Pawelski, a Senior Campaigns Coordinator for Animal Outlook.

Vegan Dunkin’
The fast food and coffee chain first entered the vegan market with a trial Beyond Breakfast Sausage Sandwich at Dunkin’ sites in Manhattan last year. It subsequently rolled out the meatless sandwich to more than 9000 locations across the U.S.
“We are extremely proud of our partnership with Beyond Meat and thrilled to be the first US quick-service restaurant to offer Beyond Breakfast Sausage nationwide,” said Travis’ successor Dave Hoffmann, Dunkin’ Brands current CEO at the time.
At the nationwide roll-out, Ethan Brown, Founder, and CEO of Beyond Meat, said: “We are excited that everyone who runs on Dunkin’ now has the option to make a delicious plant-based sausage sandwich part of their day.”

This year, the brand also introduced oat milk at select locations in California before announcing that it would be rolling out the plant-based milk option nationwide coming spring. Dunkin’ only offered almond milk earlier.
