Fatburger has announced that customers can now order dairy-free cheese with their burgers at all U.S. locations.
West coast burger chain, Fatburger has expanded its vegan range by adding dairy-free milkshakes and vegan cheese to its menus.
Customers can now enjoy a complete plant-based cheeseburger by choosing dairy-free cheese slices from Daiya.
In a press release, Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FAT Brands said: “After our successful test run in our hometown, Los Angeles, we are thrilled to offer our Fatburger fans around the US a 100 percent plant-based cheeseburger.”
“With the addition of the Daiya slices to our ever-going dairy-free menu we are able to reach a larger fan base.
“We can’t wait to see how consumers across the country react to our new plant-based offerings,” she added.
The chain first added the Impossible Burger to its menu followed by introducing dairy-free milkshakes and vegan cheese to select locations last month.Speaking at the time, the CEO said: “As a longstanding LA brand, our team at Fatburger loves to bring together old Los Angeles traditions and today’s trends and values, and our new vegan offerings are a great example of that.
“We pride ourselves in being early adopters of innovative new menu items, and I anticipate the Daiya slice will do extremely well, just like our Impossible Burger.”
The Impossible wave
Impossible Foods’ vegan Whoppers have been widely popular with customers swearing the patties ‘taste just like meat’ since its launch three years ago.
Post the rollout, Burger King has introduced the plant-based Impossible Whopper to more than 7,000 locations across the US.
The meatless patties are also available in multiple restaurants and food chains including, the Red Robin, White Castle, Qdoba, Hard Rock Café, Topgolf, Cheesecake Factory, Applebee’s and Little Caesars Pizza.
