“Our expansion into dairy-free ice cream is another step toward achieving our goal to make delicious, organic, plant-based food that leaves people amazed.”
Plant-based company Forager Project is releasing its first line of organic dairy-free frozen treats made from cashew milk in the US.
According to the California-based brand, its all-new line of vegan icecreams offers ‘a dairy-like ice cream experience without compromising taste and environmental impact’.
The five flavours in the range include Vanilla Bean, Bittersweet Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, and Mint Chip.
Starting at $6.99 per pint, the deliciously flavoured and creamy treats will hit shelves at grocery stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Market Basket, Earth Fare, and many more.
‘Delicious dairy-free treat’
“Our expansion into dairy-free ice cream is another step toward achieving our goal to make delicious, organic, plant-based food that leaves people amazed,” Stephen Williamson, the Forager Project Co-Founder said.
“With our hero ingredient, organic cashews, we’ve created our ice creams to give consumers a delicious dairy-free treat that’s full of flavor and taste and free of pesticides, chemicals, and GMOs.”
Forager project
Forager project, which was initially founded as a juice company in 2013 has pivoted to a variety of dairy-free options, including yogurts, milks, creamers, butter, and sour cream, along with chips and cereals, using sustainably sourced and organic ingredients.
The new ice-cream range follows the recent release of its dairy-free Cheeseworks line.
The organic vegan cheese line was developed to mimic the texture, stretch, and melting ability of dairy cheeses and is available in shredded and chunked styles.
The Cheeseworks line made from a base of Forager’s own organic cashew milk yogurt features four flavours: Jack, Parmesan, Mozzarella, and Queso Fresco.
According to the company, the dairy-free Queso Fresco is the first plant-based version of this cheese on the market.
“We’re dedicated to amazing our consumers with great tasting plant-based foods in every creamery category,” Williamson said.
