A new healthy vegan trail mix range has been launched at Tesco stores across the UK.
Real Handful has launched two new resealable trail mix sharing packs exclusively to the UK’s biggest supermarket chain.
After launching the brand in 2016, co-founders Joe and Carly Taylor have expanded their trail mix range to launch Strawberry Stomp 140g Sharing Bag (RRP: £2.50) and Blackcurrant Blast 140g Sharing Bag (RRP: £2.50).
The brand says the mixes are perfect for an on-the-go snack, topping porridge or yogurt or as a desk snack.
The recipes include premium dried fruit and nuts, seeds and grains alongside naturally flavour infused raisins for ‘distinctive, innovative, and bold tastes’.
Trail mix demands are growing globally as people look for healthier snacking options. According to Technavio, the market is anticipated to see a 12% yearly growth through to 2022.
Joe Taylor, Co-Founder, Real Handful, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching into Tesco with our new sharing bag format and incredibly excited to be working with their produce team to introduce a branded fruit & nut Trail Mix offer.
“At Real Handful we want to take the seriousness out of healthy snacking and put fun and flavour front and centre again, whilst also keeping our snacks naturally nutritious. Luckily Tesco have given us this opportunity and we’re keen to see the product in consumers’ hands.
“We’re also really excited by the fact that by moving to a larger format we’re able to offer shoppers a more than 30% saving p/kg versus our existing impulse range. This is a really important step for us on our mission to make naturally nutritious snacking more tasty, fun and price accessible.
“We can’t wait to introduce this new range to Tesco shoppers and work to further explore the opportunity to deliver flavour innovation in this space.”
The new trail mixes follow the launch of Real Handful’s yogurt-coated clusters named Bundlz.
The range features oats, cereal and raisins and is available in two flavors: strawberry and raspberry yogurt, and apple and blackberry yogurt.
Real Handful’s products are available in more than 2500 stores across the UK, and the business is projected to grow by 300% in 2019.
