‘Someone who is passionate about pastry and with a keen interest in vegan and vegetarian food, to taste and feedback on our meat free ranges’
Holland’s Pies is looking for a NEW meat free taster to help taste and review its upcoming delicious vegetarian and vegan fare as the pie maker looks to grow its vegan range in 2020.
The brand has teamed up with Phoenix Nights’ actor Justin Moorhouse to help it find the right candidate.
“I was thrilled when Holland’s Pies approached me once again to help them with their search for an addition to their Pie Panel – I’ve always loved their pies and puds and now that I’m a vegan, I’m so happy they’ve expanded into this area as I can get my Holland’s fix once again,” said Moorhouse.
“Best of luck to all who apply.”
‘Calling enthusiastic pastry lovers’
According to the Pie brand, while the role does not require any previous experience, the applicants, who will join the exclusive Pie Panel need to be keen, enthusiastic pastry lovers with a keen interest in vegan and vegetarian food!
Perks of the enticing opportunity include not only getting to sample the new vegetarian or vegan products firsthand, but also receiving a year’s supply of the product after every single meeting, which the selected candidate will attend every six months – either remotely or at the famous factory itself pandemic permitting.
“With the rising trend of meat-free diets, we wanted to ensure we had the expert opinion of a meat free consumer on our panel to help us continue to develop our range and grow our loyal fan base,” Leanne Holcroft, Brand Manager at Holland’s Pies, said in a statement.
“We’re looking for someone who is passionate about pastry and with a keen interest in vegan and vegetarian food, to taste and feedback on our meat free ranges – they’ll be rewarded with a year’s supply of pastry goodness after each meeting.
“What better way to be paid?”
All interested entrants must email: [email protected] telling Holland’s Pies, why they are ideal for the role in 250 words.
Applications close on Friday, May 22.
Vegan Holland’s Pies
The brand recently forayed into the vegan market with a vegan version of a classic sausage roll in response to increased consumer demands for meat-free options.
“We are incredibly excited to launch our first ever vegan product, after receiving lots of feedback from fans following the launch of our extended vegetarian range in 2019,” said Holcroft at the time of the launch.
“In January alone, over 400,000 people signed up to take part in Veganuary to reduce their meat-consumption and sample the vegan lifestyle, so it is important for us to tap into newer emerging markets and food trends.”
