The new limited-edition vegan shoes are available on preorder on So iLL’s website.

Game of Thrones superstar Jason Momoa has launched two limited-edition vegan sneakers.

The range is in partnership with So iLL- a climbing apparel brand.

The Unity Purple and Yaya Lavender Roamers- which are part of the So iLL x On the Roam collection- are made using organic cotton for the upper, bloomfoam algae for the insoles with a top layer of cork, and biodegradable outsoles.

The shoes also feature Momoa’s triangular patterned tattoos.

Taking to Instagram, the actor showed off the new kicks to his 15.3 million fans, alongside a caption that reads: “We’re all in this together.”

The So iLL x On the Roam collection also features  Kanaka flipflops,  Momoa’s signature lifestyle shoe, Wino, as well as climbing shoes.

Each item in the range is made of sustainable materials.

While the  Kanaka Sandal features an EVA foam footbed with a molded rubber outsole mixed with Eco-Pure Powder to help reduce decomposition time by reacting with microbes in landfills, the Wino features an upper material made from 20% recycled plastic, water-resistant coating, a comforting neoprene sleeve, algae foam insoles, and biodegradable outsoles.

 The range also offers outdoor bags, chalk bags, masks, and shirts.

The shoe collaboration isn’t the only sustainable initiative by the Hawaiian born Aquaman star.

Momoa, who has studied marine biology and wildlife biology, also launched his own plastic-free water company, Mananalu in an effort to tackle plastic pollution.

The brand markets a range of waters in recyclable aluminium cans.

 In 2019, the star addressed the United Nations to discuss climate change. He said: “We can no longer afford the luxury of half-assing it as we willingly force ourselves beyond the threshold of no return”.
