The ice cream brand has launched its 4th vegan ice cream in Waitrose stores.
The British Ice cream brand has unveiled its new Vegan Chocolate Brownie “laced with gooey brownie bites and a heavenly chocolate ripple.”
The new ice cream has “a creamy oat base,” and is free of nuts- an ideal choice for customers looking for a decadent lactose and nut-free alternative.
The new dessert is available for purchase at select Waitrose stores for £4.50.
Customers drooled at the announcement.
“This looks amazing! I definitely need to get some to try,” wrote one excited customer on Instagram
“OMG yummy! We love brownies and ice cream, what a delish combo!” wrote another.
With the new flavour, the company has expanded its oat-milk based vegan ice creams range that already consists of Vanilla Bean and Salted Caramel ice-creams.
Vegan boom
Jude’s new chocolate brownie flavour launch comes around the same time Oatly announced its New Strawberry Oatly Ice Cream at Tesco.
Companies are launching more and more vegan options as the demand for plant-based, dairy-free options continues to soar.
The demand for plant-milk has grown dramatically over the past few years as consumers are increasingly opting for foods that are sustainable, healthy and ethical.
According to data released by the Good Food Institute (GFI) and the Plant-Based Foods Association, US oat milk sales spiked by a whopping 686 percent in 2019 and the plant-based sector jumped 11 percent to reach a $5 billion mark.
