“Our new liquid seasoning range is the secret ingredient to really unlocking the incredible flavour of veggie meals.”
Knorr, owned by Unilever, is launching the “the perfect [vegan] scratch cooking ingredient,” in three liquid flavours.
The new liquid variants include: Rich Vegetable, Miso Mushroom and Deep Smoke and have been designed to “bring full-on flavour to meat-free meals.”
The new vegan products joining Knorr’s Veggie Cooks Essentials range, mark the brand’s first-ever range of liquid seasonings.
According to Unilever, these new products will appeal to the growing number of people looking to reduce their meat consumption.
‘As delicious as the meat equivalent’
Fikerte Woldegiorgis, Foods Marketing Director, Unilever UK& I, said: “Whilst the appetite for meat-free meals is huge, we know that many people find it hard to make them as delicious as the meat equivalent.
“Our new liquid seasoning range is the secret ingredient to really unlocking the incredible flavour of veggie meals.
“These liquid seasonings can be added either at the start of cooking or just before finishing, but whichever you choose, they will seriously pack a punch when it comes to flavour.”
‘No compromise on flavour’
The brand has also teamed up with renowned TV chefs The Hairy Bikers for a #CheatOnMeat campaign in an effort to get the nation “eating more veg.”
The duo will collaborate on lots of easy to prepare and great tasting meat-free recipes, to show that you don’t have to “compromise on flavour,” whilst making meat-free meals.
The Knorr liquid seasonings are priced at £2.30 for 150 ml and will be available exclusively in Tesco for the first six months before being rolled out to other retailers.
