Socialite turned make-up mogul Kylie Jenner has announced the launch of her new vegan lip kit range.

The news comes ahead of an expected relaunch of her Kylie Cosmetics brand with redesigned packaging and a brand-new formula.

The TV reality star took to Instagram to tell her 242 million followers: “MEET THE NEW LIP KIT. Smudge resistant, vegan, lightweight, 8-hour wear! Gave Kylie Cosmetics a little makeover. #ComingSoon”

The new revamped lip kits are available in 30 glossy shades. The range is described to be non-sticky and ‘gently softens lips and gives the most beautiful mirror shine finish’.

More details about the collection are yet to be revealed.

While the celebrity’s skincare range Kylie Skin is completely vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and sulfate and paraben-free, her makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics is cruelty-free and does not sell in China. However, not all of its products are vegan-friendly.

Is Kylie Jenner vegan?

Earlier this year, Jenner, who’s related to Kim Kardashian, said she’s ‘really trying to not eat meat’.

Revealing her dietary change on an Instagram story, Jenner posted an image of her dinner, which appeared to be made up of sweet potato, broccoli, and grains. 

“Really trying to not eat meat right now, so here’s my little dinner,” she wrote alongside the post.

Slammed for wearing fur

Despite her inclination towards a plant-based lifestyle, Jenner has often come under fire for wearing animal fur on several occasions.

Last December, members of animal rights organization SoCal Animal Defense League confronted and shamed her for wearing fur and shopping at Beverly Hills’ luxury store Moncler – a brand notorious for selling animal fur.

In another incident back in January 2020, Jenner was called a ‘hypocrite’ after she posted a picture of her newly bought Louis Vuitton slippers made from mink fur, only days after she tried to raise awareness about Koalas losing their lives in the Australian wildfire.
