Neat Burger has also expanded its delivery service to 8 new locations across London.

Lewis Hamilton backed vegan burger chain has partnered with Deliveroo to deliver free vegan meals to NHS workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move follows Deliveroo’s announcement to provide 500,000 free meals to NHS heroes after receiving hundreds of thousands of donations from independent restaurant owners eager to do their bit in fighting the virus.

“Deliveroo will be making 500,000 meals available to the NHS heroes working on the front line – for free! Neat Burger is beyond proud to be partnered in this incredible initiative,” captioned the chain On Instagram.

“If you would like to get a free meal to a doctor or nurse, you can donate through the ‘Support your NHS’ fundraising page on the Deliveroo app or website.”

Although the majority of meals will go to NHS workers, Deliveroo added that it will also cater to vulnerable people during the pandemic.

“The nation needs the NHS like never before, and we must support every single colleague in the NHS,” said Health Secretary Matt Hancock

“I’m delighted that Deliveroo and partners are playing their part in this great national effort with half a million meals for the NHS.

“We can best come through this if we pull together.”

CEO and founder of Deliveroo Will Shu said: “Those in the NHS working night and day to save lives are the real heroes of this crisis, and we want to do our small part to support them and the vulnerable who aren’t able to leave their homes.

“Thanks to our dedicated riders, the generosity of our restaurant partners and their teams who are keeping kitchens open to serve those most in need, we hope to be able to make a difference.”

 Neat Burger

Neat Burger, which opened its first outlet in central London last Summer, recently expanded to eight new locations to include Bethnal Green, City, Hackney, Haggerston, Shoreditch, Mile End, Wapping, and Whitechapel.

The brand is currently offering delivery only with the coronavirus pandemic forcing most eateries and shops to shut down and suspend table service.

According to the chain, vegan cheeseburgers, Chick’n burgers, fries and milkshakes can now be delivered to the following areas: Balham, Battersea, Bloomsbury, Brixton, Chelsea, Clapham, Covent Garden, Fitzrovia, Marylebone, Mayfair, Soho, Victoria, and Vauxhall.
