Lidl has launched vegan Ben & Jerry’s style ice cream at stores in the US.
The budget supermarket offers non-dairy version of its ice cream range using coconut milk as its base ingredient.
The range is available in Chocolate or Cookie Dough flavour – similar to ice cream giant Ben & Jerry’s in both flavour, name and branding.
Lidl has been upping its vegan game around the world, and has many varieties of plant-based ice cream, milks and desserts.
Reusable bags
Last week shoppers have heaped praise on Lidl for introducing new reusable loose fruit and veg bags.

The company has launched the new scheme in a bid to cut down on single-use plastics.
Lidl has pledged to reduce plastic packaging by 20% by 2020 while ensuring all own brand packaging is recyclable, reusable, refillable or renewable by 2025.
It was one of the first major supermarkets to charge for plastic bags when it launched in 1994, and its move to remove single-use plastic bags in 2017 led to the stores using 26 million fewer bags each year.
Vegan burgers
Earlier this year, Lidl stores in germany launched the Beyond Meat plant-based burger.
The product was a raging success on its debut in Lidl stores in Germany, with reports suggesting it sold out ‘immediately’.
Lidl stores in Germany began importing the burger in June, and were hit by unprecedented demand.
German publications and social media posts reported that customers were driving to multiple Lidl stores and being disappointed to find they were sold out in every outlet within 24 hours.
