A man has been arrested after a harrowing video of someone pretending to stroke a cat before kicking it through the air went viral.
The shocking video, which shows a man smile for a camera while approaching a cat before booting it through the air, was shared thousands of times on Twitter.
It was orginally curculated by Protect All Wildlife on Twitter as the animal welfare group attempted to hunt down the perpetrator.

Twitter users called for the man to be arrested for the horrific abuse.
Dragon’s Den judge Duncan Bannatyne even offered £5,000 to anyone who could name the man responsible.
And comedian Ricky Gervais made his feelings about the man clear.
Following the Twitter storm, Portsmouth Police reported the person responsible had been arrested.
And animal rights groups celebrated the arrest.
