Beyond Meat has joined Partnership for a Healthier America- an organization founded by Michelle Obama to make nutritious food options more accessible to all.
Michelle Obama’s nonprofit Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) has been working towards improving the health of children through diet and exercise for over a decade.
To further its efforts, the charity has partnered with plant-based startup Beyond Meat who will work alongside to transform the nation’s food supply for the better.
As part of its10th anniversary, the charity will host an online summit today (28th April) and CEO Ethan Brown will take part in the virtual event with “prominent leaders in the food and nutrition space,” who will discuss the importance of introducing healthy foods to children early in life to promote wellness into adulthood.
The summit will kick off with opening remarks from Lady Obama, who states, she “could not be prouder of, or more energized by, everything we have achieved together to help all of our children lead healthier lives,” on the PHA website.
‘Raise the bar’
Announcing the partnership Beyond Meat wrote on Instagram: “As part of our mission to improve human health, we are joining forces with Partnership for A Healthier America.
“This organization shares our belief that there is a better way to feed our future.
“Together, we can help raise the bar when it comes to nutrition.”
Beyond Meat has also launched a 30 day Feed A Million+ campaign to feed COVID-19 frontliners and the ones affected by the ongoing pandemic.
“We are dedicated to making sure those who need it most right now have access to a good, nourishing meal at no cost,” announced the brand on social media.
Beyond Meat ambassadors including NBA star Kyrie Irving, comedian Kevin Hart and rapper Snoop Dogg have come on board to contribute towards the campaign.
