Morrisons supermarket has released its first vegan pepperoni pizza to be sold across stores in the UK

Morrisons has started selling vegan ‘no pepperoni’ pizza that tastes just like the “original” at its pizza counters

The major supermarket chain, releasing the first vegan pepperoni pizza to be sold in UK supermarkets created the much-anticipated vegan option for anyone ‘looking to cut down on their red meat intake or those who fancy a meat-free night.’

The pizza is available for just £2.50 and is made with a vegan dough, topped with plant-based cheese. The vegan pepperoni alternative is made blending pea protein and spices, to mimic the meaty taste and texture of the original.

“We have listened to the many customers who want more vegan options at our pizza counters and have worked hard to bring them their favourite toppings without compromising on flavour,” Leanne Cory, Morrisons’ Pizza Counter Buyer said in a statement.
