‘We’ve created the meatiest plant-based product in the world… now even the most dedicated of carnivores have no excuse not to give a plant-based or flexitarian diet a try in the New Year.”
Moving Mountains, the British food tech company that launched the first plant-based ‘bleeding’ burger in the UK has now launched what it describes to be ‘the meatiest plant-based product in the world’.
Called Plant-Based Beef Tender Strips, Moving Mountains’ newest product is 100 % plant-based and can be cooked from frozen in just five minutes.
The strips made using pea protein, wheat, and soy, are said to ‘sizzle, smell, and brown just like the real thing’.
According to Moving Mountains, the vegan beef strips can be enjoyed as a direct swap or added to stir-fries, curries, burritos, wraps, and more.
They are stocked at Sainsbury’s for a retail price of about £4.50 for a 250g bag.
‘Meatiest plant-based strips’
“At Moving Mountains, we’ve created the meatiest plant-based product in the world with our Beef Tender Strips SKU,” Simeon Van der Molen, Founder of Moving Mountains said.
“We have partnered with Sainsbury’s to launch it to market in time for Veganuary, now even the most dedicated of carnivores have no excuse not to give a plant-based or flexitarian diet a try in the New Year.
“We have perfected the recipe with a team of scientists, chefs, and technological innovations, and it is the closest replication to beef available on the market.
“The product provides a real solution to the environmental impact of the animal agriculture industry, without compromising on taste for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters.”
Moving Mountains
The vegan strips join Moving Mountains’ impressive lineup of plant-based products, which include burgers, sausages, mince, meatballs, hot dogs, and fish fingers.
Last month, it debuted a range of plant-based fingers including fish alternatives made using new white soy never before seen on the market.
The new plant-based Fish Fingers are officially available in Waitrose stores across the UK.
