“Our aim is to make plant-based food an easier and more attractive choice for people who want food that is good for them and good for the planet.”
Nestlé is set to roll out a new vegan range under its Garden Gourmet brand.
The plant-based food range will hit UK supermarket shelves from 20 September.
It includes plant-based mince, burgers, Cumberland-style Sausages, and Mediterranean-style chicken fillets.
According to the company, the new products are made with “responsibly sourced” soy beans, are protein rich and provide a good source of fiber.
The move is also part of the food giant’s commitment to hit carbon neutrality by 2022.
Honza Dusanek is Nestlé’s managing director for food and dairy. He said: “With more people looking for more sustainable plant-based food, we are excited to bring the Garden Gourmet range to UK supermarkets with our tastiest and juiciest and Sensational range.

Nestlé’s plant-based range
Nestlé has steadily expanded its plant-based portfolio over the years.
It now offers a range of food and beverages, including dairy-free coffee mixes and Carnation Vegan condensed milk alternative.
Earlier this year, the Swiss conglomerate also launched KitKat V, a vegan version of KitKat, which is made with a rice-based alternative to milk.
