Moo Free has launched a new vegan chocolate range in UK supermarket Marks and Spencer.
The ethics-focused brand has partnered with the premium supermarket to launch its vegan ‘milk’ chocolate bars across 413 food halls.
Co-founder Mike Jessop told Totally Vegan Buzz in a statement: “This is a perfect partnership between two quality and ethics-focused businesses.
“The bars we’re launching together into their foodhalls fit the ethos of both companies as they’re premium free-from, vegan bars made with ethically-sourced ingredients.”
Moo Free has recently launched three product ranges – Bunnycomb and Minty Moos bars, vibrant Mini Moos and the 100g sharing Organic Original bar.
“This is the latest in a long list of UK grocery multiples to appreciate the quality, fun aspect and ethics of our free- from, vegan chocolate” Jessop explained.
“Now our market-leading ‘milk’ chocolates are available in almost all the UK grocery multiples!”
Demand
The demand for Moo Free’s free-from, vegan chocolates has grown rapidly since its founding in 2010.
The company’s chocolates are now available in many UK supermarket and in more than 38 countries.
Moo Free won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade and, for the sixth time in 2018, Best Vegan Chocolate at the VegFest Awards UK.
To achieve the milk chocolate taste, Moo Free replaces cow’s milk with rice milk to create a creamy taste.
As well as being dairy free, all their chocolates are also gluten free, wheat free, lactose free, casein free, soya free, suitable for vegetarians and certified vegan.
The chocolates are also made from ethically-sourced ingredients and do not contain any artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives – making all their chocolates Clean Label products.
