UK’s leading chocolate brand has sold almost £8 million in value sales and recorded a 52.8% growth since 2020.  

Kinnerton Confectionery’s free-from brand NOMO has won a major honor at the Vegan Food UK awards – widely regarded as the nation’s largest vegan food event. 

NOMO’s Caramel Chocolate Bar has scooped the title of ‘Best Vegan Chocolate’.

The annual award, which prides itself on a completely transparent award selection, is now in its fourth year with thousands of people getting the opportunity to not only vote on their favourite products, but also nominate them too.

This year more than 42,000+ UK vegans voted for their favourite vegan products of the year.  

Veganuary 2022

The win comes at a time when Veganuary is going full throttle. This year the month-long pledge has had over 600,000 sign-ups and is still going strong.

According to NOMO’s independent research, a fifth of Brits are thought to have tried the challenge. It also found that Brits were 38% more likely to try vegan chocolate this year, compared to last – with one in five picking up a bar as the market continues to soar.

Since launching in 2019, NOMO – which stands for ‘no one missing out’ – has grown into a strong contender in the confectionery industry.

Caramel – the brand’s hero – is one of the nation’s favourite flavours and NOMO has created the smooth, gooey caramel bar in a way that both vegans and allergy sufferers could enjoy.

NOMO claims that its products are purchased twice as often as its competitors and the award cements the success NOMO has had over the past year. It sold almost £8 million in value sales and 297.9 tonnes of chocolate – the equivalent to 24 double decker buses – to help it record a 52.8% growth since 2020.
