Pamela Anderson claims her husband feels like a ‘new man’ after switching to a vegan diet.

Baywatch star Pamela Anderson says plant-based sausages have helped boost her husband’s performance in the bedroom.

The 53-year-old actor, who married boyfriend Dan Hayhurst on Christmas Eve reportedly told her friends that her husband feels like a ‘new man’ after switching to a vegan diet and now their sex life has got even better.

An insider told the Mirror: “This diet has worked wonders. Dan feels like a new man.

“Pam makes vegan sausages and is famous for her smoothies and Buddha bowls.”

 ‘Vegans make better lovers’

This comment follows a recent thread on Twitter, where the actor extolled the many benefits of veganism.

“The cholesterol in meat, eggs, and dairy causes hardening of the arteries (and not much else).

“It slows blood flow to all the body’s organs, not just the heart. You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan.

“A healthy body is a sexy body, and eating meat ISN’T healthy. It’s been linked to heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and obesity- which are major causes of erectile dysfunction.

“Going vegan can help men of all ages boost their sexual performance and reduce the risk of prostate cancer at the same time.”

Morgan hits back

Her post didn’t go down too well with many people and TV host Piers Morgan was most definitely riled.

He countered Anderson when she appeared on Good Morning Britain (GMB) to discuss her Twitter thread and stated: “My problem with [veganism] is a lot of medical experts say that actually, a vegan diet is not that great for you.”

He further added that ‘missing out on meat’ can also have a ‘detrimental effect on your general health and wellbeing’.

Is a vegan diet healthy?

However, when GMB’s Dr. Hilary Jones was asked whether a vegan diet ‘is actually that healthy’ he said: “Well it can be, but not necessarily. You could eat chips all day and still have a vegan diet.

“If you’re educated and knowledgeable about veganism of course you can have all the nutrients that you need…”

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition also suggested that men who follow a diet rich in flavonoids, found in fruits like strawberries, blueberries, and apples, and exercise regularly may have their risk of developing erectile dysfunction lowered by over 20%.
