“You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan.”
Model, actress, and vegan activist Pamela Anderson, who often uses her platform for vegan advocacy, was once again seen promoting a meat-free diet.
In a long post to Instagram, the 53-year-old Baywatch star, wrote: “Vegans make better lovers.
“The cholesterol in meat, eggs, and dairy causes hardening of the arteries (and not much else)
“It slows the flow of blood to all the body’s organs, not just the heart.
“You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan.”
She added: “Going vegan can help men of all ages boost their sexual performance and reduce the risk of prostate cancer at the same time.”
‘Aphrodisiac qualities’ in vegan food
Andersons’ comments align with a recent survey, which found that vegans have twice as much sex as meat-eaters, according to a Mirror report.
Dating website Illicit Encounters’ report also found that 84% of the vegans polled said they were satisfied with their sex life in comparison to 59% of those on a meat-based diet.
Jessica Leoni a representative of the dating website said: “Vegans are masters of seduction it would appear.
“Our statistics don’t lie and vegans eat foods known for their aphrodisiac qualities such as ginseng and aniseed.
“But I’ve never heard of a rack of barbecue ribs or a lamb shank turn anyone on.”
‘Less likely to take meds’
Registered dietitian and author Bonnie Taub-Dix in an interview with INSIDER explained that many plant-based foods improve circulation, which, apart from improving brain function can also benefit “other parts of the body that you want to work properly.”
She told the media outlet that someone eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables, is less likely “to take meds that could interfere with their sex drive and function.”
