Pizza giant Papa John’s has announced a limited-edition vegan Breakfast Pizza for customers to binge on over the upcoming bank holidays.
After receiving an “overwhelming response” to the Breakfast Pizza it released over the last bank holiday weekend, Papa John’s is releasing a plant-based version for the upcoming ones.
The new limited-edition Vegan Breakfast Pizza is a perfect take on a typical English breakfast as it comes loaded with Heinz baked beans instead of tomato sauce, vegan sausages, golden-brown tato tots, Portobello mushrooms and the chain’s signature Vegan Sheese.
Papa John’s UK is launching a vegan version of its popular breakfast sausage pizza. The Heinz baked beans-topped pizza is available as a limited-edition option over the upcoming May bank holiday weekend.
In a statement, Giles Codd, Marketing Director of Papa John’s, discussing the launch said: “After such great enthusiasm for the Breakfast Pizza over the last bank holiday, we’re excited to bring it back alongside our version made for vegan customers.”
“So, whether you’re into bacon or beans, this is a must-try this bank holiday weekend.
“Especially if you were unable to get your hands on it last time!”
Papa John’s limited-edition Vegan Breakfast Pizza is available from the 21 – 25th May 2020 nationwide.

The takeaway pizza chain forayed into the UK vegan market last year with three brand new cheesy vegan pizzas and marmite and cheese scrolls.
It later expanded its plant-based menu with cinnamon scrolls and a limited edition vegan hot dog pizza.
Papa John’s marketing director, Giles Codd, said at the time: “2019 has been a huge year for plant-based food and gone are the days where vegans and veggies are limited to a couple of disappointing side dishes.
In 2020, Papa John’s UK launched four new plant-based pizzas, which included Jackfruit Pepperoni, American Hot Jackfruit, Sausage and Pepperoni, and the Vegan Works.
