Angry viewers have lambasted Piers Morgan after he ridiculed teenage activist Greta Thunberg on Good Morning Britain yesterday (September 8).
Thunberg’s thunderous speech at the UN summit last month has been celebrated across the world as she demanded action from world leaders over climate change. But some people have been triggered by the 16-year-old vegan Swedish activist and reacted in a bizarre style.
After Donald Trump mocked her speech last week, TV broadcaster Pier Morgan was his usual anti-environmentalist self as he impersonated Greta’s speech while hosting the Good Morning Britain with co-host Susanna Reid.
The presenter also criticized climate change protest group Extinction Rebellion for its protests in London, before shifting his focus to target Greta.
He ranted: “How dare you, how dare you?
“You have stolen my morning; you have stolen my airtime. I have no life. How dare you?”
While his co-host disagreed with his comments, angry viewers slammed the TV host on Twitter for his audacity.
“Now you have stooped to an all-time low, mocking a child with Aspergers?!” one user said. “Piers v Greta? I know who I would put my money on…”

“Wtf! Just heard and seen a grown man taking the p*** out of Greta who is trying to make a difference in this world and who wants to save it. @piersmorgan you’re a d***!” wrote another.
A third commented: “How dare Piers Morgan mock Greta Thunberg, why do @GMB give him the time of day and pay him for his disgusting comments. I’ll stick to @BBCNews thanks.”
“Putting on an accent and mimicking a 16-year-old girl is bullying, you should be ashamed!” read another comment.
“What is it about Greta Thunberg that makes grown men totally lose any sense of decorum or dignity?” questioned a user.
