Piers Morgan is often heard mocking those promoting a vegan lifestyle and this time Meghan has come under fire from the T.V presenter.
Television presenter Piers Morgan has blasted Meghan Markle for sending gift samples of Clevr Blends’ vegan latte powders to Oprah Winfrey.
According to the 55- year-old TV host, the Duchess of Sussex is leveraging her celebrity friends to promote the health drink of the brand she recently invested in.
Morgan said Winfrey will inadvertently help Markle earn millions by endorsing the brand to her followers.
“She decides to invest in this vegan latte drink she then sends it to Oprah who then tweets it then drinks it on her show!” Morgan said on Good Morning Britain.
“It means she can make millions by sending the product to Oprah.”
‘She can do very little right’
When co-host Susanna Reid pulled up Morgan for doing the same thing, when he sent his book to famous faces, he retorted: “I am not a Royal? Are they or are they not Royal?”
He then backtracked stating: “I am not passing judgement!” before dismissing Reid next comment of him always targeting Markle on the show.
He said: “So do you! You think she can do no wrong, I think she can do very little right.”
Royals miffed too
Morgan isn’t the only one displeased with Markle enlisting the telly superstar to help get mileage for the vegan latte brand.
According to palace insiders, there were “more than a few raised eyebrows” after it emerged that Meghan was backing Clevr Blends – a startup that makes instant oat-milk lattes, the Mirror reported.
Oprah on receiving the gift basket uploaded a video to show her 19.2 million followers what she received from “my neighbour M”.
The letter was followed by a crown emoji – a nod to her friend’s royal connections.
Commenting on the emoji posted, a royal source said: “It is hard to see how emojis apparently trading on royal connections is respecting the values of the royal family.”
