Vegan activist Tash Peterson recently staged a protest at a KFC restaurant in Melbourne demanding it ends the ‘animal holocaust’.
Australian model and activist Robyn Lawley has praised vegan activist Tash Peterson and her group for storming into a Melbourne KFC and staging an animal rights protest there.
Peterson armed with fake blood and a megaphone swarmed the food establishment with several other protestors.
The 26-year-old also known as ‘vganbooty’ online poured the fake blood on the floor and targeted diners for supporting animal abuse and accused them of being complicit in an ‘animal holocaust’.
Urging onlookers to go vegan, she said: “The world’s longest and largest holocaust in history is happening right now in the meat, dairy and egg industries
“Non-human animals are enslaved in concentration prisons where they are subjected to rape, torture, abuse and mutilation before they’re sent to murder factories where they are brutally murdered as babies.
“If you’re not vegan, you’re an animal abuser. Abolish animal slavery, end the animal holocaust.”

‘Mad respect’
32-year-old Lawley shared Peterson’s protest video on her Instagram stories and wrote: “This would’ve taken some nerve! Mad respect for you Tash and the team involved.’
“I hate KFC – it’s disgusting.
“Terrible for you and the planet.”
She added: “My veggie tenders are way tastier and they don’t abuse poor, helpless animals”.

Divided opinion
However, Peterson’s stunt divided opinion online. Many criticized her and called her behaviour ‘disorderly’.
“Commits property damage/ disorderly behaviour in the store then posts evidence of such on social media. Not a bright spark. Enjoy the criminal record,” wrote one user.
“You are free to preach your views and I respect them for sure, it becomes a problem when you disrupt regular people just trying to enjoy lunch or minimum wage workers trying to make a hustle,” added another.
“I understand you’re trying to raise awareness on animal abuse but this is too far… you’re spreading paint all over someone’s workplace, which I bet you didn’t even clean up, and workers are now having to add that to an extra job on their list when those workers don’t get paid enough to deal with people like you coming to their workplace like this,” a third commented.
Yet, on the other hand, many praised Peterson and called her ‘truly inspirational’.
“Each one of you is truly inspirational, don’t let anyone make you think otherwise,” one user commented.
“Let’s all head over to KFC’s Instagram and tell them that we want them to go plant-based,” wrote another.
“Thank you for putting yourself out there for the animals. It takes so much courage and kindness to stand up and speak the truths,” a third added.
