The petition reads: “Unless we act now we will live to see the death of the oceans. And, our children will never know the wonder and beauty of our once thriving blue planet.”
Multiple award-winning American actress Sarah Paulson took to Twitter to encourage her 1.1 million followers to support Seaspiracy’s petition to protect oceans.
She wrote: “Donate if you can. Desperately need to spread the word as widely as possible. So share if you are inclined. “

Paulson joins a slew of celebrities that are urging more people to reevaluate their eating habits by watching the film, which released on Netflix earlier this year.
Among them are Paul McCartney, Bryan Adams, Kourtney Kardashian, Liam Payne, and Loren Gray.
Seaspiracy- Petition
The film, produced by Cowspiracy’s Kip Andersen, spotlights the ‘war being waged’ on the world’s oceans by delving into the detrimental effects created by industrial fishing
Following the whopping success, Ali and Lucy Tabrizi – directors of Seaspiracy- launched a petition asking George Eustice, the environment secretary, to create and enforce ‘no-catch’ marine reserves in at least 30% of UK waters.
In addition, government bodies in the US, Canada, and Germany are also being urged to set up ‘no-catch zones’ in surrounding waters by 2030.
According to the filmmakers, “Unless we act now we will live to see the death of the oceans. And, our children will never know the wonder and beauty of our once thriving blue planet.
“Seaspiracy has exposed the truth, but we can’t fix this on our own. Now we need action, and that’s where you come in. Together we can change this.”
Since its launch in April, the petition has gathered over 685,000 signatures.
