Simon Cowell has transformed his health after ditching animal products and following a clean lifestyle.
The X Factor star is reaping full benefits of a plant-based diet, which he switched to in April ahead of his 60th birthday last year.
The elitist TV judge has shed more than 20Ibs in weight and feels energetic, more focused and happier than ever.
On his recent vacation with his family in Barbados, he flaunted his flat stomach and toned physique whilst enjoying his day at the beach.
Vegan effects
The celebrity has been raving about how his vegan lifestyle has helped him turn his health around and make him a better version of himself after being warned about the implications of his unhealthy lifestyle with alcohol, cigarettes and erratic sleeping habits.
Speaking about his health in an earlier interview on the Ellen Show, he admitted: “I went to see this doctor in London. We did some tests. And then a month later he said, “You have the worst diet I’ve ever met from any patient.
“It’s like the Eric diet because he actually, apart from ice cream, he actually likes water. I mean, who likes water? And his raw vegetables. So I’m on like, the Eric Cowell diet,” he added.
Better father
Apart from losing weight, Cowell states that his healthy eating habits have made him a better father to son Eric as he can now ‘keep up with him’.
Speaking to reporters at the ITV Palooza, Cowell said: “My memory’s better, my energy’s better. And when you’ve got a five-year-old you’ve got to be able to keep up with them because the minute they’re awake they’re all over the place.’
“His energy is unbelievable. When he wakes up, he’s like, ‘Daddy, daddy, daddy,’ and before he goes to sleep, ‘Daddy, daddy, daddy.
“So I was conscious of the fact I have to keep up with him energy-wise, and someone recommended this as the way to go. I tried it and I stuck to it, it’s one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.”
