Snoop Dogg turned Dunkin’ employee for a day to serve its latest Beyond Sausage Sandwiches to unsuspecting customers in a Los Angeles store.

Following a successful trial in Manhattan in July this year, food giant Dunkin’ rolled out the new meatless sandwich in more than 9000 locations across the country.

The fast food chain expedited the launch from January 2020 after witnessing its overwhelming popularity. During the trial, the breakfast sandwich became the second best selling sandwich in Manhattan behind the classic Dunkin’ bacon, egg, and cheese bagel.

To make more noise, the fast food chain roped in Snoop Dogg to do the honors.

In a video posted on Instagram, a Dunkin’ spokesperson is heard stating: “We brought in the biggest Beyond Meat fan we know as our biggest employee,” as Dogg dons his apron and breaks into a jig behind the counter.

Dogg then goes on to ask shocked customers: “You want that plant-based great taste?

 “Employee of the month is at it again, y’all!”

The Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich for $4.29 is made with a vegan English muffin and a Beyond Meat sausage patty. Normally served with an egg and dairy cheese, but both can be omitted to make the meal vegan. 

With this launch Dunkin’ becomes the first U.S. chain to serve Beyond Meat’s vegan breakfast sausage.

During the initial trial, Ethan Brown, Founder and CEO of Beyond Meat, said: “Dunkin’ is truly an iconic brand and part of the fabric of so many communities.

“Partnering with them as the first U.S. restaurant chain to serve Beyond Breakfast Sausage represents not only an exciting moment for both of our companies, but a big step forward in making plant-based meat accessible and easy to enjoy, even while on-the-go. 

Earlier, in an interview with CNBC, Dunkin’ CEO David Hoffman suggested that people could look forward to more vegan option featuring Beyond Meat products. “This is going to be a partnership for years to come,” he said.

As part of promotions, Dunkin’ will give free samples of the Beyond Sausage Sandwich, on Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., at participating Dunkin’ U.S. restaurants, while supplies last. Tell ‘em Snoop Dogg sent you.
