‘We’ve been thinking of ways we can do our bit to help’

Roxy Pope and Ben Pook, creators of So Vegan, one of the world’s popular vegan recipe channels have launched a charity ebook titled The Lockdown Cookbook in order to support charities working for COVID-19 relief.

Fans can download the ebook that contains “10 fresh-and-exciting recipes… using cupboard staples and easy-to-find ingredients,” with a nominal donation of £1 to the duo’s fundraiser.

The proceeds will be donated to three charities supporting frontline services: Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), NHS Charities Together, and UNICEF.

Ways to help

“These are strange times and people’s lives all over the world have been turned upside down due to #COVID19. But like so many others we’ve been thinking of ways we can do our bit to help ?,” wrote the couple on Instagram.

“We feel blessed to have such an incredible following from people all over the globe, so we wanted to do something which brings our worldwide community together and UNITES EVERYONE during this difficult period.

“So no matter which country you’re from, know that your donation will be helping people working in frontline services all over the world.”

So Vegan has so far achieved 129% of its target of £5,000.
