Waitrose has partnered with Squeaky Bean to launch its first ready-made vegan pancakes on the 25h February, just in time for Pancake Day.

Waitrose is the first UK supermarket to stock the ready-made vegan pancakes from Squeaky Bean in more than 250 of its stores nationwide.

Customers of one of UK’s major retailers will be able to choose from two Squeaky Bean delectable ready-made vegan pancake options both priced at £2.50 each.

The Vegan Fluffy American Pancakes are made using soya and are a delicious vegan alternative to the classic stacking pancakes with a delicate light fluffy texture and a beautifully sweet finish. 

The Vegan Original Sweet Pancakes have a soya base and are the perfect option for those craving a crêpe. The pancakes make for a perfect pancake treat when served drizzled with lemon and sugar.

 The pancakes are available exclusively in Waitrose stores and online.

Charlotte McCarthy, Vegan Buyer at Waitrose & Partners said in a statement: “Shrove Tuesday is always a favourite with our customers and this year we wanted to make sure everyone had a ready-made delicious pancake to eat.

“Whether you have them swimming in maple syrup and bacon or go classic with lemon juice and sugar – our vegan customers won’t be missing out on their sweet treat this February.”

Squeaky Bean

Squeaky Bean has been very popular ever since its launch last year by Winterbotham Darby, a food distribution company. Calling itself “your new sidekick in the kitchen,” the company states it makes the “kind of plant-based food you can happily crave.”

Announcing the new readymade pancakes on social media, the company wrote: “We have loved seeing your Squeaky STACKS!

“What’s your favourite way to enjoy our American style pancakes?”

Thrilled with the announcement, one fan wrote: “I absolutely adore these! ? they are so so good! ? very dangerous that I live a few minutes away from a Waitrose ??

“We are having your pancakes for dinner tonight, luckily got some yellow stickered,” added another.
