Starbucks has added vegan creamers to its retail line in collaboration with Nestle.
Starbucks is set to launch two vegan creamers across retailers nationwide
The new creamers are a result of a collaboration between Nestlé and the international coffee giant as part of their global coffee alliance formed in 2018 to bring customers exciting new ways to enjoy coffee at-home.
The non-dairy creamers will be the first vegan products in Starbucks’ existing creamer line and are crafted with a unique blend of almond and oat milks.
Inspired by customers’ favorite handcrafted beverages, the creamers will be available in 2 flavours:
The Starbucks Caramel Flavored Non-Dairy Creamer is inspired by the customer-favorite Caramel Macchiato and is made with sweet, buttery caramel and hints of vanilla flavor to pair perfectly with our coffee for an oh-so-delicious cup.
Starbucks Hazelnut Flavored Non-Dairy Creamer is inspired by the Hazelnut Latte and is crafted with flavors of rich hazelnuts to pair perfectly with our coffee for a delicious morning sip.
While the official launch date is August, some lucky customers have already spotted them at select stores.
The creamers are not only dairy-free but are also free of egg, gluten, peanuts and soy. Each bottle will retail at $4.99.
Plant-based options at Starbucks
The creamers are the latest in Starbucks’ foray into plant-based options as customer interest in plant-based foods continues to see rapid growth.
Recently they rolled out coconut milk- and almond milk-based drinks across their stores nationwide, as well as oat milk in select locations.
As part of its limited-time spring menu, the brand released 2 vibrant vegan iced beverages inspired by California’s Venice Beach.
While the first beverage- Iced Pineapple Matcha is made with premium matcha green tea blended with flavors of pineapple and ginger along with coconut milk and ice, the Iced Golden Ginger Drink is made with ginger, pineapple and turmeric flavors mixed in coconut milk and served with ice.
For summer, Starbucks introduced its new Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink combining “flavours of guava, passionfruit, pineapple and ginger, hand-shaken with coconut milk and ice.”
Last month, it also added Impossible’s vegan sausage breakfast sandwich for meat-eaters and flexitarians along with multiple plant-based drinks to its permanent menu.
