Support for the environment can come from all industries of all shapes and sizes, it seems. Adult entertainment giant Pornhub has launched ‘The Dirtiest Porn Ever’, which depicts two amateur pornstars having sex on a heavily polluted beach.
The company says the cheeky stunt is to raise awareness for plastic pollution, in a video which features the couple rolling around in trash while they’re getting it on.
“Ocean pollution has grown to become of the most significant global issues of our lifetime,” Pornhub vice president Cory Price said.
“And it’s only getting worse. That’s why it’s imperative that we use our platform to raise awareness and inspire change – not just for the time being but for generations to come. We’re dirty here at Pornhub, but that doesn’t mean our beaches need to be.”
The film is made in collaboration with charity Ocean Polymers – a business which cleans plastic from the sea with 60-metre tankers.
Heather Wigglesworth, Executive Director and Project and Operations Manager of Ocean Polymers, said the charity is ‘thrilled that Pornhub has engaged with us and displayed a commitment to utilizing their voice and reach for positive action’.
Pornhub will make a donation to the charity with every view the movie receives.
Pornhub Cares
Pornhub has been running environmental campaigns for many years under its Pornhub Cares division.
The company launched a quirky series of nature documentaries named ‘Beesexual’ last year, and donated to bee charities for each video view.
And in 2016 the company ran a ‘Save the Whales’ campaign to donate a portion of profits to The Moclips Cetological Society.
