Erpingham House – the 100% plant-based restaurant – will open within Bonnie & Wild’s sprawling Scottish Marketplace.
UK’s largest vegan restaurant, which focuses on modern vegan cuisine is all set to open its third outpost in Edinburgh.
Erpingham House, co-founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Loui Blake, along with footballers Russell Martin and Declan Rudd already has its restaurants in Norwich and Brighton.
A pop-up also opened in London’s Covent Garden.
Erpingham House will open within the Bonnie & Wild Scottish Marketplace – the upmarket food hall located in the city’s new St James Quarter.
Billed as the capital’s first food hall, Bonnie & Wild spans 16,600 sq ft. It will house more than a dozen independent restaurants, and artisanal food shops, plus much more through live events, cooking demonstrations, pop-ups, and festivals.
Erpingham House
Similar to its other branches, the Edinburgh outlet will serve a 100% plant-based, plastic-free, and mostly gluten-free menu curated by group head chef Meg Greenacre.
Since its launch, Erpingham House has gained national recognition. It was listed in The Times top 20 vegetarian restaurants in 2018 and has also featured on Channel 4’s ‘What Britain bought’.
‘Conscious business’
In addition, the award-winning restaurant follows the mantra of ‘eat plants and be kind’ by planting trees to offset carbon emissions and staying away from single-use plastics.
Blake, who is also the founder of pizza chain Vegan Dough Co. and a partner with By Chloe, said: “I believe through business we can create a healthier & more conscious planet, and that conscious business can play a pivotal role in helping more people discover & maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
The Edinburgh branch will be open from the 24th of June.
