‘Finding a partner whose principles align with yours is the foundation of a solid relationship.’
Alex Felipelli, who often “faced difficulty finding a partner with the same values,” launched Veggly’s in 2018- a specialty dating app for vegans and vegetarians.
The app was designed to “facilitate friendships, flirting and short- and long-term relationships among vegans and vegetarians, who often face challenges forming lasting romantic connections with omnivores.”
“For vegans and vegetarians, just deciding where to have dinner can be awkward and stressful when you’re out with someone you don’t know very well,” said Veggly Founder and CEO, Alex Felipelli in a statement.
“More importantly, the decision to eliminate or significantly reduce the consumption of animal-derived products is often a matter of commitment. Even if a partner respects that choice, if they don’t share it, it can be a major barrier.”

Exponential growth
Memberships on the app, which is extremely popular in adults between age group 25-34 years have quintupled since its launch and more than 100,000 users now use the free platform to find and ‘connect with Veg-Matches who share their eating habits, values and lifestyle’.
The app runs on iOS, Android and desktop. It has several subscription packages and bonus features to enhance user experience.
Veggly is currently available in 7 languages, which include English, Danish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans to make Polish available this year.
“Billions of animals are killed for human consumption every year,” added Felipeli.
“More and more people want to be part of the change that’s needed to create a sustainable, cruelty-free world, and they want to be with someone who shares that commitment. Finding a partner whose principles align with yours is the foundation of a solid relationship.”
Share this app to help someone find the one that thinks and eats like them.
