World’s first vegan hazelnut cream filled wafer bar launched in the UK

Vegan confectionery company LoveRaw has expanded its 100% vegan line up with its new vegan hazelnut cream filled wafer bar.

According to the brand, the Cre&m Filled Wafer Bars are the first of its kind to be launched in the UK and the world.

Calling the new wafer bars a Game Changer the brand’s website states: “Forget what you knew about vegan chocolate, our new Cre&m wafer bars show two fingers to the competition.

“These beauties are crispy wafer loaded with a layer of fluffy vegan hazelnut cream and topped off with a coating of LoveRaw’s iconic vegan chocolate.”

‘LoveRaw’

LoveRaw was founded in 2013 by Rimi and Manav Thapar to make “awesome vegan chocolate, not only for vegans but for unvegan vegans too.”

Its entire line up of ‘decadently indulgent’ bars, buttercups and mixed bundles contain no artificial ingredients, no palm oil and no dairy.

The brand has also launched its online store owing to a shift in consumer behaviour amid Covid-19.

“As a result of the lockdown restrictions, we have seen a huge shift in consumer shopping habits, with more people buying online than ever before,” said Rimi Thapar, co-founder and CEO of LoveRaw.

“For this reason, we wanted to ensure our products are fully accessible to our customers through the launch of our own online store and have received an excellent response with direct sales up almost 800% YOY.”

The two individually wrapped wafers per pack are available to buy online for £1.69. The brand plans to stock in Holland & Barrett and Waitrose later this year.
