One Planet Pizza has preponed the official nationwide launch of its new home delivery service-OPP Direct to help customers in coronavirus lockdown.

With the coronavirus spread forcing people into lockdowns, businesses in general are suffering.

In an effort to reach out to more people, the award-winning frozen vegan pizza company has brought forward its One Planet Pizza Direct service to “serve a little extra positive energy and news into the universe.”

Customers can now order their very own customized selection of delicious, sustainable plant-based pizzas online from OPP Direct and have it delivered to their doorstep at their convenient time.

Announcing the news on Instagram, the ethical and sustainable vegan frozen pizza company wrote: “With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping through the world, we at One Planet Pizza believe that now more than ever, we must be compassionate, supportive and caring as a community.”

Encouraging people to look out for each other, it added: “Why not gift one of your pizzas to a loved one, or send someone else a care package?”

Co-founder Joe Hill told TotallyVeganBuzz: “We have been quietly working on this new and exciting service for several months now, making sure everything works and we can offer the best service possible to our wonderful follower. We believe that offering as many people as possible the chance to have our frozen vegan pizzas delivered directly to your front door is the right thing to do right now.”

Support local vegan businesses

The brand also urged people to support local, independent and vegan businesses in these trying times.

In a separate Instagram post, the brand wrote: “Rather than run to the mainstream supermarkets in search of a reasonable amount of food items, battling your way towards the canned food isle, why not choose a more sustainable approach.

“We’re talking about independent shops and businesses, local vegan stores and smaller online vendors.⁠

“⁠It’s a confusing, worrying and uncertain world that we are living in for the time being, and we want to give a shout out to everyone supporting their local businesses, and indeed the independent owners out there. You’re all freaking awesome.⁠”

One Planet Pizza

One Planet Pizza was founded back in 2016 after the father-son duo and co-founders Mike Hill and Joe Hill couldn’t get hold of a great tasting vegan frozen pizza.

Since then the company has grown to become UK’s first plant-based frozen pizza company.

With all the pizzas made from scratch and by hand, the brand currently serves several flavours, which include: Three Cheezly Margherita, Hawaiian, Funghi Feast and the Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable.
